I learned my speech by practicing and practicing. I would read a couple of sentences and memorize them and I would keep adding on till I had the whole speech memorized. I practiced by reading my speech to my mom and my grandma, over and over. Practice, it is very, very important. If you know your speech you will do just fine.
I have improved with my eyecontact. It wasn't very good on the first speech but on the second one it much, much better. I would like to improve on speed. On my second speech I read it very fast. I plan to practice saying my speech slower and taking my time.
